IntelliBrella™ is a transparent umbrella designed to provide portable physical shade while maintaining visibility through the canopy. Its clear protective material is intended to reduce ultraviolet exposure within the area covered by the umbrella, offering an alternative to the dark, opaque canopy used in most traditional sun umbrellas.

IntelliBrella™ is intended to reduce exposure to both UVA and UVB radiation within its effective coverage area. The exact performance of the finished product depends on the canopy material, production specifications, testing method and conditions of use.
No responsible shade product should be described as eliminating all ultraviolet exposure. Ultraviolet radiation can still reach you from:
- Open sides
- Changing sun angles
- Diffuse radiation in the atmosphere
- Reflections from water, sand, concrete, glass or snow
- Movement outside the covered area
Any published protection rating should be read together with its corresponding test report and limitations. IntelliBrella™ is not a replacement for sunscreen.
Position the canopy between the sun and the area of the body you want to shade. Because the sun's angle changes, the umbrella may need to be tilted or repositioned throughout the day. Protection is strongest within the canopy's effective shadow and may decrease near the edges, or when you move outside the covered area.
Do not use in high winds, severe weather, thunderstorms, or near overhead power lines and exposed electrical equipment. No umbrella is completely windproof.
Clean with lukewarm water, a soft microfibre cloth and a small amount of mild soap when necessary. Avoid bleach, ammonia, acetone, solvents, abrasive powders, scouring pads and unapproved coatings, which may cloud, scratch or weaken the protective canopy material.
Never store the umbrella wet. Dry it fully while open in a ventilated area. Full instructions are on the Support & Care page.

Warranty coverage does not normally include wind or weather damage, accidents, normal wear, improper storage, harsh cleaning chemicals, cosmetic scratches or unauthorised modification.

The material
Transparent to light.
Not to ultraviolet.
Visible light and ultraviolet radiation occupy different portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. A material can allow a significant amount of visible light to pass through while absorbing, reflecting or otherwise reducing transmission of certain ultraviolet wavelengths.
Transparency does not mean ultraviolet radiation passes through the material at the same rate as visible light. The appearance may include a slight tint, reflective quality or optical effect depending on lighting and viewing angle.
What we will not claim
IntelliBrella™ is a consumer shade product, not a medical device. It is designed to reduce ultraviolet exposure within its covered area, but no umbrella can guarantee prevention of sunburn, skin damage or skin cancer, and none creates a completely ultraviolet-free environment. Use it as one layer alongside protective clothing, a broad-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sensible timing and an appropriate sunscreen.
